Something About Company
Rosemount is a family owned day nursery in Bush Hill Park, offering the best possible start in life, where children flourish. We have a happy homely environment and have high expectations for all our children.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which covers the following areas: personal social and emotional development, physical development, communication and language, mathematics, literacy, expressive arts and design and understanding of the world.
We pride ourselves on our:
- Traditional and modern teaching methods
- Beautiful, mature garden for children to play in
- Healthy vegetarian meals
- Highly qualified teaching staff
- Individual attention in small classes
Our first nursery in Muswell Hill was opened in 1996, by Marilyn Sparks, and has been running successfully ever since. It is currently rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
Rosemount prides itself on being an independent, family owned business. We combine unstructured play with traditional teaching methods where the older children are taught phonics, number work and other skills, such as baking, craft making and art, in small groups.
As well as preparing children for academic life, we also teach them about nature and the environment. We grow fruit and vegetables, which the children harvest and we encourage children to have respect for animals, including the bugs and other creatures who visit our mature garden.
We are a vegetarian nursery and through our work we support charities that help and protect vulnerable animals and children.
Rosemount Bush Hill Park is set over the ground floor of a large detached 1930’s family home, providing a homely, relaxed environment where children can learn and develop.
There is a well-stocked library, art room, active playroom and a spacious light playroom for various activities.
The beautiful garden has been carefully planned to incorporate a grass lawn, a wooden decking platform with wooden play equipment for imaginative and active play, a paved area with water and sand trays and areas for children to develop an understanding and appreciation of nature and wildlife in a natural setting.
