Solent University Undergraduate Open Day

Our undergraduate open days show you what it’s like to be a student at Solent. Explore our friendly and welcoming campus and discover our amazing facilities. You can also talk to course leaders and current students, as well as our accommodation, admissions and Student Hub teams.
What to expect
Our open days are packed full of activities, tours and talks – all to help you discover what life as a student at Solent University is like.
There are course talks running throughout the day. These sessions will give you a chance to meet the course leader and gain an in-depth insight into what you’ll be studying. Feel free to attend more than one if you’re choosing between courses!
You’ll also be able to get up close and personal with some of the facilities and equipment you could be using on your course.
And our accommodation, admissions, finance and student support teams are all on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Take some time out
If you’re looking for a bite to eat or a drink, visit the East Park Deli, Costa Coffee, or the Dock – they all serve hot and cold drinks, as well as snacks and a selection of hot and cold food.
Travel voucher scheme
Prospective students who attend a physical open event at Solent and live outside of the local authority of Southampton City Council, or have travelled from outside of the UK, can apply to receive an Amazon voucher covering the cost of their travel to the event. Once you have booked to attend one of our events, we will send you the travel voucher application form.
Can’t make it to an open day?
Why not attend a campus tour. You’ll be guided around the campus by one of our student ambassadors and shown the main facilities. Please note, at this time we’re unable to include the residences on the tour.
And if you can’t attend an on-campus open day, or would prefer to learn about Solent at home, we hold some open days virtually, as well as an on-demand open day.
Overview
Our on-demand virtual open days have all the information you will find at an on-campus open day at the touch of a button. You’ll be able to hear from our student ambassadors about their experience of being a student at Solent, from studying, to student support, and living in Southampton.
You’ll also be able to listen to pre-recorded course talks, hosted by the academic teams, that will give you an insight into your chosen course. We have videos on student finance, student support, applying, and the student experience. And to complete the package – take a virtual tour of our campus and our excellent facilities, and see where you could be living on a virtual tour of our student accommodation.
