Bus Driver Apprenticeship – Passenger Transport

Annual wage – £31,500.00 – £500 bonus upon successful completion of Apprenticeship

Working week – Monday to Sunday, working 5 out of 7 days. Shifts – starting and ending between 04:00 and 02:00 TBC (approximately 8 hours a day) Working week starts on a Saturday – Rest days are not fixed. – Total hours per week: 38.0

Expected duration – 13 Months

Apprenticeship level – Intermediate Level 2 (GCSE)

What you will do in your working day

Initially, you will learn:

• How to drive a bus around London to a high standard
• The processes and procedures required to deliver and maintain a reliable service
• How to, and the importance of ensuring the vehicle you are driving is road worthy by carrying out daily pre-service and regular checks
• How to provide excellent customer service to passenger

The training you will be getting

• Apprentices will gain a Level 2 (Intermediate) Passenger Transport Driver – Bus, Coach & Tram qualification upon successful completion of their apprenticeship. As well as a PCV (category D) licence and Driver CPC card
• Most of the training will be delivered in blocks (where training will be delivered is to be confirmed)
• Functional skills in maths and English (if required)
