Lorna Graham
Lorna’s creative skills include producing live shows and events. Previously, she held the post of Community Engagement Ambassador for Enfield Councils ‘Festivals and Events’ due to her planning skills that brought together the various intergenerational cultures. Along with her programming skills and an eye for spotting creative talents, Lorna provided a platform at live events and theatre shows for young people to showcase their various talents. Additionally, Lorna also saw the need to support and provide opportunities for everyone to learn not just acting or dance skills or gain performance opportunities, but other skills that relate to working within the events sector such as stewarding, stage management and hospitality to name just a few. Lorna also advocates for talented young creatives from all back grounds including those from neurodiverse backgrounds.
With a strong belief that employers should be providing paid work and opportunities that enable young people to have an actual hands-on experience. “I believe it is so important that we give young people roles that enable them to become more confident as they learn new skills in a professional field that they are actually interested in”. “Where possible I give individuals and groups the platform to showcase their talents or actively shadow on projects. All creatives need someone to believe in them and understand their vision and passion.”
Lorna has a background in performing arts and dance with BTDA and BBO, her skills have been gained both on and off stage. She also graduated with a joint Ba honours in Business Studies with Race and Culture.
Lorna has worked with organisations that champion new and innovative ideas within film and TV from the ethnic diaspora of Africa and the Caribbean. Whether it be recording historical facts or show casing new ideas.
Actively committed to supporting local groups and organisations, Lorna provides sound engineering support to a local church on a voluntary basis and is constantly working on and developing new creative live and visual projects.
